Is America Facing a Hidden Coup in 2025?

Something feels very wrong in Washington right now. A former CIA-trained Afghan shoots National Guard troops blocks from the White House. Democrat senators release a video telling soldiers to ignore future “illegal orders.” And fresh evidence of 2020 election fraud is reportedly lands on Trump’s desk. Is the permanent bureaucracy preparing a last-ditch coup before January? The signs are mounting…

Financial market analysis from 29/11/2025. Market conditions may have changed since publication.

Sometimes history doesn’t arrive with trumpets and declarations. Sometimes it creeps in quietly, on a holiday weekend when most people are thinking about turkey and football.

That’s exactly what seemed to happen this Thanksgiving. While families gathered and ovens worked overtime, a series of events unfolded that, taken together, feel less like coincidence and more like the opening moves of something much larger.

The Week Everything Felt Different

I’ve been following politics for decades, and I can count on one hand the number of times the air itself seemed to change. This was one of those weeks.

It started with a shooting just blocks from the White House. Then came whispers—rapidly turning into shouts—about new, concrete evidence of how the 2020 election was manipulated. And then, perhaps most chillingly, a professionally produced video from six Democratic senators essentially preparing military personnel to refuse orders from the incoming commander-in-chief.

Any one of those stories would dominate a normal news cycle. All three hitting within days of each other? That’s not normal.

The Shooting That Silenced Thanksgiving

Let’s start with what everyone saw on television the night before Thanksgiving.

Two National Guard soldiers conducting routine security duties near the White House complex were ambushed. One young woman, just 24 years old, didn’t make it. The other remains in hospital.

The alleged shooter? An Afghan national brought to America during the chaotic 2021 evacuation. But here’s where it gets complicated—he wasn’t just any refugee. For nearly a decade, he worked with elite Afghan units that operated under American oversight. Some reports suggest direct CIA connections.

He traveled three thousand miles across the country to commit this act. The weapon used—a handgun—somehow made it past any potential airport screening, if he flew commercially. Questions pile up faster than answers.

Was this a lone act of radicalization? Or something more orchestrated? In a normal week, we’d have wall-to-wall coverage demanding those answers. Instead, the story largely disappeared by Black Friday.

The Video That Crossed Every Red Line

While the nation was still processing the shooting, something even more extraordinary dropped.

Six sitting Democratic senators—several with intelligence community backgrounds—released a slick video addressed directly to active-duty military personnel. The message? Be prepared to disobey “illegal orders” from the chain of command.

They didn’t specify which orders might qualify as illegal. They didn’t need to. The timing made the implication crystal clear: Donald Trump would be sworn in soon, and these senators were pre-positioning the military to resist him.

You swore an oath to the Constitution, not to any individual leader.

That’s the line they used. It sounds noble in isolation. But when delivered weeks before any specific order has been given, in the context of a bitterly contested transfer of power? It sounds like preparation for institutional rebellion.

I’ve read the Uniform Code of Military Justice cover to cover. Soldiers are absolutely required to disobey clearly illegal orders. But determining legality is complex, and the military has existing processes for that. Bypassing those processes with a public video feels less like education and more like incitement.

The Kraken Awakens—Again

Remember the Kraken?

Back in late 2020, attorneys and investigators claimed to have evidence of systematic election manipulation involving voting machines, foreign software, NGO funding, and coordinated ballot operations. The media called it conspiracy theory. Courts largely refused to hear the evidence. Several of the attorneys faced professional ruin.

Now, five years later, pieces of that story are reportedly coming back—harder and with better documentation.

Independent researchers and whistleblowers claim to have new forensic evidence showing:

  • Statistical impossibilities in vote counts from key precincts
  • Internet connectivity logs from voting machines that shouldn’t have been online
  • Financial trails connecting NGOs, election officials, and private contractors
  • Coordinated media suppression patterns across multiple platforms

Perhaps most significantly, word is that this evidence has finally reached people in the incoming administration who are willing to act on it.

Why This Time Feels Different

In 2020, the challenges to election integrity were scattered and disorganized. Courts dismissed cases on procedure rather than merit. Media coverage was uniformly hostile.

This time, the incoming team has spent four years preparing. They know which doors were slammed in their faces last time. They know which judges dismissed evidence without examination. They know which agencies slow-walked investigations.

And crucially, they’ll control the Department of Justice starting January 20th.

That single fact changes everything.

The Cornered Animal Theory

There’s an old saying in Washington: never corner a bureaucracy. They have institutional memory, unlimited resources, and no term limits.

If substantial elements of the permanent government participated in or covered up election manipulation—and now face genuine investigation and potential prosecution—their rational move isn’t surrender.

It’s escalation.

Which brings us back to that senators’ video. And the conveniently timed shooting. And the sudden media silence about both.

What Happens Next?

We’re in uncharted territory.

The peaceful transfer of power has been America’s proudest tradition for over two centuries. But peaceful doesn’t mean passive. When one side believes the other stole power—and now faces losing it permanently—the incentives align toward drastic action.

The military video suggests some Democratic leaders understand this. The shooting suggests others might be preparing more kinetic options.

Meanwhile, Americans go about their holiday shopping, largely unaware that the ground may be shifting beneath their feet.

I don’t know how this movie ends. But I do know this: when powerful people start openly preparing the military to disobey civilian leadership, when violence erupts near the seat of government, when long-buried evidence of systemic corruption reportedly resurfaces with new force…

We’re not in normal politics anymore.

The question isn’t whether something big is happening.

The question is whether we’ll recognize it while there’s still time to choose which side of history puts us on.

Stay vigilant, friends. The next few months may test everything we think we know about how power really works in America.
